FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE PEGGY SEEGER
1962年, 此曲由 The Kingston Trio 帶進流行曲樂壇, 後來 Peter, Paul & Marry, The Brothers Four 及其他歌手亦有不同翻唱錄音,
"PLAY MISTY FOR ME" 港譯:《飛來艷福閻王帖》
This won the Grammy in 1973 for Song Of The Year.
FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE - Robert Flack 1969
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes
And the moon and the stars were gifts you gave
To the dark and the endless skies
The first time ever I kissed your mouth
I felt the earth move in my hands
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was then at my command
My love
The first time ever I lay with you
I felt your heart so close to mine
And I knew our joy would fill the earth
And last till the end of time
My love
The first time ever I saw your face
Your face, Your face, Your face
或是重拾20年前的: "First time ever I saw her face" !
THE FIRST TIME EVER I SAW YOUR FACE - 1957
PEGGY SEEGER and EWAN MacCOLL
The first time ever I saw your face
I thought the sun rose in your eyes -
And the moon and stars were the gift you gave
To the dark and empty skies, my love,
To the dark and empty skies.
The first time ever I kissed your mouth,
I felt the earth move in my hand -
Like the trembling heart of a captive bird
That was there at my command, my love
That was there at my command.
The first time ever I lay with you
And felt your heart beat over mine -
I thought our joy would fill the earth
And last till the end of time, my love
And last till the end of time.
