wow, that serious huh......don't let the pan democrats fool you
their view that universal suffrage will solve all of hk's problems is so simplistic that it is laughable
just look at the US, consider the most democratic country in thw world
the two political parties are so much at odd with each other nowadays that the country was, politically speaking, almost at a standstill , nothing gets done
what I consider infinitely more important is preserving the rule of law in hong kong, that no one or party is above the law, sadly, this is not what the present mainland leaders think, they say the PARTY IS THE LAW
(of course, not saying that openly)
true, corruption should be stamped (just another power struggle?)
but as importantly, the colluding between business and government officials should be stopped at once: how do you think the real estate prices get to be so high these days?
during Tsang's years, the gov't stopped land sales inorder to prop up property prices which had collapsed during the SARS years, obviously, to help real estate companies become more profitable
now, we ordinary citizens, are paying the prices, shame on them !!! |
